Russia's president Dmitry Medvded started his official trip to the United States by a couple of days in Silicon Valley, where he paid a visit to several successful companies, including Twitter, Cisco, and of course Apple.

After his tour of the company's campus in Cupertino, Steve Jobs gave him a brand new iPhone 4. President Medvedev ended his tour by a speech at Stanford University where he announced his plans to build a "Russian Silicon Valley". He read his notes… off an iPad.
